ABOUT US

Green Team Welfare Society is a registered NGO functioning out of New Delhi that envisages building a sustainable society by means of spreading awareness and indulging in various on-the-field activities. Green Team, as it is popularly known as, comprises of a mix of students and young professionals from various walks of life who have come together to express support and solidarity for this mutual goal.

At Green Team, we provide a platform to those individuals who want to participate in sensitizing the society towards environment through action or dialogue. We want to join hands with the common man in our efforts to bring about sustainable development.

We work at the grassroots level to create awareness among the masses. Green Team has conducted and participated in several plantation drives, clean-up activities and various informative and interactive sessions in schools and colleges.

We are a non-governmental not-for-profit organisation run by people who believe in themselves that they can promote environment conservation and help building a greener planet.

Our slogan “Green Is On...!!” is also the name of our flagship campaign.

HISTORY

Green Team Welfare Society was founded on 28^th May, 2010 at  Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, India. Green Team had started its operations unofficially, as a group of individuals, way back in May, 2007. Since then, Green Team has been able to create mass awareness through various home-run projects, self-conducted campaigns and self-organized activities.

Our vision is to promote sustainable development of the society through green concepts by joining hands with the common man at both micro and macro levels.
